History and Origins
Originating from Egypt, chamomile is also grown in other temperate climates around the world, including India, South America, South Africa, and Australia. Ancient Egyptians consider Chamomile as a gift from the god of the sun.
The literal translation from the Greek language gives us “earth apple”- which is a reference to the fresh apple scent of the chamomile blossoms. Chamomile tea is one of the most popular herbal teas in the world and almost a million cups are consumed every day.
On the other hand, lemongrass as a herb is also very significant. It adds to this tea and complements the mellow Chamomile flowers. It is a perfect addition in terms of taste, aroma, and health benefits. It is an aromatic tall sled that grows in parts of tropical and sub-tropical South East Asia and Africa. Its origin is assumed to be Malesian. In India, Lemongrass can be found in the regions of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, hills of Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim.
