Teas is one of my preferred ways of prescribing botanicals (plant based medicines) for adults and children. As a doctor, I look for very specific blends which are known to heal and rejuvenate us from inside. Ono Teas herbal and Tisane category teas offer a lot of interesting complex flavours without the added sugars and colours found in the packaged juices, sports drinks and soda.

HISTORY & ORIGINS

Rose Oolong Tea
The origin of roses dates back to 35 million years. In Greek mythology, it is believed that roses came into existence through the tears and the blood of Adonis, the lover of Aphrodite (the goddess of love). Cleopatra, who is known for her affairs, used loads of rose petals to cover her floor to scent the air romantic to woo Mark Antony.   The other half of the equation is oolong tea. Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea that originates from the Fujian province of China. The term oolong comes from the Chinese term Wulong, wu means black, and long means dragon translating to Black Dragon tea.   One theory suggests that this tea originated in the mountains of Wuyi and named after the mountains. Another theory called the “Anxi” theory, where a man accidentally discovered this tea as he forgot about leaving tea leaves on the ground, and came back the next day to find the leaves bruised and partially oxidized. Crafted with pure dehydrated Rose Petals and leaves of Oolong, this tea may brighten & smoothen your skin and this subtle floral goodness is so soothing that you are just a sip away from combating your stress.

Taste is a subjective experience based on personal preference, so it may vary from reviewer to reviewer. But in my experience, rose flavoured tea is the best blend offered by the Onoteas brand. I definitely would recommend this flavour to all tea connoisseurs who want to try something new.
