HISTORY & ORIGINS

Spicy Oolong Tea
Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea that originates from the Fujian province of China. It is known for its partially oxidized nature. The term oolong comes from the Chinese term Wulong, ‘wu’ means black, and long means dragon translating to Black Dragon tea. There are three different theories on the origins of oolong tea. You can find them in our detailed blog. To accentuate oolong with a spicy twist, we have blended oolong with the favourite household spice, cinnamon. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of trees of species Cinnamomum. Its origin dates back to the 1500s, where cinnamon was so rare that it was given to kings as a gift. It was so valuable that they used to trade currencies with it back then. Apart from being such an aromatically delicious spice, its health benefits are also fascinating. So lay back and enjoy Ono Teas woody and astringent spicy Oolong tea. Our sweet and spicy cinnamon twist will keep you coming back for more.
