HISTORY & ORIGINS

Lavender Oolong Tea
Ono Teas Lavender Oolong is a heavenly mix of traditional oolong and enchanting lavender.  Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea that originates from the Fujian province of China. It is known for its partially oxidized nature. The term oolong comes from the Chinese term Wulong, wu means black, and long means dragon translating to Black Dragon tea.   Next up, we have a visually pleasing, breathtaking, and therapeutic flower, lavender. Ono Teas’ dried velvet flower buds can hypnotize you to sleep with its sultry aroma. Lavender is a flowering plant that comes from the mint family. The origin of Lavender is believed to be from the Mediterranean, Middle East, and India, almost 2500 years back. It obtains its name from the Latin word ‘lavare’ meaning “to wash”. The Romans used lavender to scent their baths, beds, clothes, and even hair. They realized its antiseptic nature is just as prevalent to contribute relaxation.  Lavender Oolong is a traditional Chinese tea, packed with the softness of lavender and grassy oolong which will uplift your mood and a taste that keeps you coming back for more.
