HISTORY & ORIGINS

Silver Needle White Tea
White tea is grown in different places like Zheng He, Fuding, and Fujian provinces of China. In the province of Fuding, it is called the North Road Silver Needle Tea, and in Zheng He, the South Road Silver Needle Tea. Varieties that grow in each province differ slightly in the shade of colour and taste. There is no clear history of when or where it was first planted. Sources say it was during Song Dynasty in Imperial China from 960 to 1280 AD. White tea was so popular, it was even referenced in ancient poetry. It was offered as a tribute to the rulers of the Tang Dynasty. The beautiful Silver Needle White tea is an edible angel in disguise. This attractive golden liquor can be taken as a liquid snack. It has a kick of refreshment and comes strong with the honey sweety notes and vegetal flavours, right in between a dessert or something savoury.
